Hi Serge When the GPS is trying to establish itself it needs to consider satellites that may be below it's normal limit of elevation so it really is helpful to ensure you place the unit in a wide open space. Afterwards it's not's so critical as it will choose those which are higher. By the way, I'm planning to fly my KR2 from Scotland down to France in the summer, to visit Brittany. I'll probably be in touch for advice. It won't be until September though I as I'm busy at work for the next few months - I make aircraft covers and everyone wants them during the summer months !
