I just saw John Esch's post about him putting his KR project (and Corvair engine conversion) up for sale. Take a look at what he's offering... it's a great price for what you get. Cris, in Rome- too bad you don't live here, you could buy this project already begun, with many materials included at good discount prices, like John's project. The engine looks like a good one, too.
I'll throw in a non-political plug for John here: if I recall correctly, he may have spent some time either jumping out of military aircraft himself, or flying others to locations where they could jump out of them, in service to our country. He will deal honestly and fairly with you. He lives at Independence Airpark in Oregon, home of a thriving experimental community with good tech counselors and homebuilders and I'm sure he gets plenty of people looking over his shoulder as he builds. And just to show that my skin is as thick as anybody's, throw me off the list if you want- I'm 3/4 Mexican and 1/4 Scots-Irish. That means I like tequila most of the time but don't make me mad or I'm liable to get a little upset and offer you a glass of scotch ;o) We've had a few people log onto the KRNet and stay about as long as it takes to read a half-dozen posts, when they get bent out of shape and go somewhere else. It's their loss. I've learned more about aircraft and construction, and met more really great people, here on the KRNet than I can begin to list. It's good, clean, educational, challenging, interesting, fun. And as the French would say, vive le difference!
