I chose to mount mine to the bottom of a reinforced shelf. This location
was selected over the floor mounting because I could not work the geometry
for the brake pedals and wheel cylinders. I believe that it can be done
both ways, but while you are in the selection process, consider the brake
installation as part of the rudder pedal installation.
