Do be sure to use an external antenna. The difference between even a cheap antenna mounted on or in the plane and the rubber duckie antenna on the handheld is like night and day.

Being the cheapskate that I am, I will set up the handeld without the amp. I also notice that wherever I saw it before, it isn't there now (Chief AC I thought; maybe Wag Aero). From the discussion, I can save both weight and bucks. I have one wing complete, the aileron to create on the other wing; canopy to finish; cowl to fit - I guess I have enough to do without the amplification! -- Paul KR2 Stretched Derry, NH _______________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to [email protected] please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html
