I won't say how many times I have been caught on top
but twice because of airspace and fuel I have
contacted approach and told them my problem. You would
be surprised at how well I was treated. I was told to
go to another frequency and they help me down. The
first time was in a KR with basic instruments and the
second time in a Bellanca Viking. The first time I got
a letter in my file and the second time was 4 hrs of
instructions with the FAA mainly on weather. It was 5
yrs between the too.
