For those of you that are new to the retract
conversation. Back in late 80's yearly 90's this was
discussed in the news letters (no Internet) Most all
KR's that were converted to fixed gear picked up
speed. Mine picked up about 10 mph. I had over 150 hrs
on mine before I changed and put about 600 hrs when I
sold it. There were a few that were able to make the
gear lock well, but not that many. To this day I still
like the way the KR looks with retracts.
