Just my 2 cents (as it were). I have read some reluctance among the folks that fly all of the KR series planes to seriously consider AirVenture; maybe due to traffic concerns, "playing with the big guys", or whatever... You may want to seriously reconsider attending.
Having said that, and maybe ticked off a bunch of you, please allow me to explain. I am 'new' to the plans built/kit built group. I went to Oshkosh last year for the first time because I wanted to look at kit built airplanes... my first thought before hand was that something built in someone's garage/basement or whatever couldn't be a 'real airplane'. Oshkosh taught me that I was way wrong! If you love airplanes, you can find it there: Stinsons, Pitts, F-18's and everything in between. There is a reason that Whitman Field is the "Busiest Airport in the world during AirVenture". And, no, I don't work for them. It is too late for this year, but you guys have some fantastic planes... show your colors dudes. I guess I remember the Ker ville days, and there were not that many planes on the flight line when we arrived. The activity were all the people leaving. When we went to the vendors area at 3 they were all ready putting things in boxes and getting ready to leave. I saw the Hi pass with the 300kt Lance. The yaks and RV's left after there flyby. Most people I talked to were not impressed at all. If you want to have a good fly in Have something for the wives to do and then people will stay the night. --- Oscar Zuniga <taildr...@hotmail.com> wrote: > Randy wrote: > > >We arrived at 2 and that was about the only plane > left. > > Hmmm... was that Sunday, by any chance?
