"Has anyone made a knock sensor idiot light setup, something that would give a red light for detonation?"
This kind of depends on the engine you are using. It is my understanding that the reason you don't see them on "certified" engines is because of the vibration that is inherent in those engines would cause a constant trip. Mine is built into the engine from the original manufacturer and will automatically retard the timing through the computer/distributor. I think the trick would be some way of desensitizing the sensor to fit your particular application. Sorry, not much help. Stephen Teate Paradise, Texas
