The local news had it wrong. Dan was transported to an Evansville, Indiana hospital. He has many lacerations on his head, arms, and feet, The worst is that both of his ankles were shattered upon impact. He did walk about 20 feet before he collapsed to the ground.
There was another KR airplane that went down about 2 miles from the end of the runway last night. He was a KR from Colorado. The name was Bulla. He suffered 5 broken ribs with the plane totally destroyed. He was airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis. Speculation is that he ran out of fuel.
