I can't tell you the advantages of one over the other. I have the stock wing, maybe an advantage is that there are wing skins built for it that you can buy. I understand that the new wing is faster, and has more fuel capacity. I do believe that everyone who is building a KR these days, and has the opportunity to choose the airfoil, is going with the new wing. I would if I were, buy I finished a project that was started with the RAF 48, and don't think there are enough advantages to change it out, but do think that there are enough advantages to build it if starting from scratch.
