Phill :  I recommend you find another place to save weight.  It's important to 
build the structure according to the plans.  The KRs have a good reputation for 
being structurally robust, so good that many builders routinely fly them 
overweight.  You are to be commended for wanting to save weight, just don't try 
to save weight on structure.  Willard

What is lighter, the sheathing plywood used on the fuse, or thin foam   
covered in BID? I've seen some guys fill the gaps between structural   
members and cover with glass. Anyone have experience with this technique?   
What's the weight diff?
