Robert,

I recently took out my header tank and built wing tanks. I only wish that I
had built them narrow as Larry suggests, however, the plane flies great,
just like it did before, it is just heavier on the tail when the tail is
down, but in level flight, it makes no difference.

One other thing I wish I had done is to provide a small "sump" area at the
lowest point of the tanks. I am just concerned that, even with my ample
baffling, the fuel will slosh away from the fuel pickup when the tanks get
low on fuel.

I am sure that there are several of them, but the only plane that I have
ever seen with the fuel behind the seat, is the RV12. It was designed to
have the fuel back there. One of the 2 things that I don't like about that
plane, but I can tell you that it is a great flying plane.

I really do not want to do the header tank and would like the room in the
stub wings for tanks. I had thought on just keeping the gear as is and
moving tanks out to the outer wings but am concerned with the weight being
so far out.
