Pat, The ring gear part number you listed is a 149 tooth (12/14 pitch) ring gear. The O-235 uses a 122 tooth (10/12 pitch) ring gear. Also depending on what model the O-235 is, it probably is an SAE-1 hub. I think the one you listed is likely an SAE-2 hub. You also want the assembly with the larger 3.25:1 pulley to drive an alternator. $300 is about what you'll find this ring gear for if you shop around a bit. List price is roughly $1100 from Lycoming or $600 new from Superior.

Telephone: 570-956-2385 I think I have a ring gear that is the right one sitting in the hangar, but the drive lug holes were machined oversized, so it would need to have bushings machined for it to reduce the size down to fit your 5/8" drive lugs.
