Bob I know how you feel. I have had my project in storage going on 9 months now and I am itching to get back on it. Fortunately I have bought a house in WV and am ready to get back to it next month. Don't have any insight to that gear installation as I built my own that is very different, but I did have to define "snug" for a work procedure I was developing and I found it to be about 50 inch pounds (according to my calibrated wrist). I imagine that it would change with the different woods and metals we are attaching things to so your mileage will vary. Do you have a web page or photobucket site? We all like to see pictures of what is going on with each others projects. Hey I see you're just 317 miles from Frederick. Think about attending the workshop in January. www.krworkshop.info

All done digging holes for fence posts till Spring. The horses have enough pasture now to last. In the process of flipping the mains around to the front of the spar and adding the tail wheel stuff. I was in the process of tightening the bolts for the left side main and got nervous. I know not to crush the wood. After snugging each one down I went back through to re check them and found each time that they seem to be loose. So when does a person stop snugging, when the spar screams ouch? I know I am worrying too much. Hey, I was just on the web site and going through all of your projects and completions. Man does that get a person pumped up. I cant wait till I am in the completed section. OK I'll shut up now. Just pumped up and wanted to talk to some one about building.
