!important; } Bob, when I'm making new cables for something like a Piper Super
Cub, the sleeves require THREE Swages. If they are crimped correctly there
should be a nice even ridge between each swage. That is done with the regular
Nicopress tool. I believe the smaller sleeves should have at least two even
crimps. Mine only has one and that made me very uncomfortable.

I received my swaging tool and gauge from AS yesterday and checked the crimps I
had made with my Princess Auto tool. they are correct and so now the only thing
I am trying to come to terms with is that the info I read says 2 crimps per
sleeve but there is really only room for 1 per sleeve unless the 2 crimps
overlap the ends of the sleeve which leaves a bump/ring around the middle of
the sleeve. Someone did say that 1 crimp is sufficient and I assume that would
just be in the middle of the sleeve.
Any other thoughts on this?
Thanks
