Reading the HAPI ignition posts, it seems to me why can't there be a dual system using the dyna-tek coil-on-plugs, two hall effect pickups, and two modules for control and advance? Seems that would be the best system for weight, compactness, and redundancy.
Is there anything like that? And is there a system or way to machine a dual hall effect (crank sensor) to fit the stock distributor hole or would just putting (drilling) them on the flywheel?
