To go along with what Jeff wrote, the annual Pietenpol and Hatz gathering is held at the Brodhead, WI airport the weekend before OSH. Brodhead is 91 NM from OSH, so it's within range for Piets who want to make the trek to OSH but far enough away to avoid the general hubbub. Needless to say, with turf runways the Brodhead event is MUCH more laid back and enjoyable than the beehive at OSH.
