Problem is that EA81 will require a reduction and turbo to get that
horsepower. You can get up to 70 @ 4000 rpm. No need to go for big numbers
in a KR2. You should use the 10 BHP per litre per 1000rpm as a guide to what
you can realistically expect any conversion to yield. This formula says the
EA81 will give 72 hp @ 4000. 2100 revmaster gives 57hp @ 2700 by this
formula. My retractable KR2 cruises at 120kts so is using less than 50 hp
at this speed.

As far as I know. If you can get a Subaru to make 100 horsepower without
over heating, you'll be the first. It's not the size of the radiator but
the amount of heat generated is more than the water flowing through the
block can handle. Just my 2 cents.

Hi all,
What is your experience on the KR2 powered by the Subaru EA81 converted to

Kind regards,
