If your feeling especially Randy about a DIY fuel flow you could buy one of the 
ebay sensors and send the pulses to an Arduino board to do it cheap. 
Programming required. I started one on my Smith but never finished it. I can 
dig through my test data and find how many pulses per gallon they put out, I'm 
just not savy at the writing code part.
