Vic, I gravity feed fuel from my header tank to the carb on my O-200 powered
KR. My header tank is sitting on the bottom shelf that is behind the firewall.
I can run it totally dry with the M/S carburetor with no problems. That being
said, other than some high speed passes with steep climbs I'm pretty much a
calm and coordinated flyer. One recommendation, Make sure your vent line
doesn't trap fuel. Even gravity doesn't work if the vent becomes blocked. In
the test phase I lost power twice and had to dead stick it in. I was lost for
an answer until I talked to Jeff Scott, he is very knowledgeable man.

Subject: KR> Fuel pump O-200

Hello O-200 Guys. Do I need a fuel pump if I only have a header tank?
