Hi all

In the Netherlands we have to do a noise test. This year I have to do
it....cost will be 600 euro. And if you are to loud with your plane you have to
do it again...and pay again..grgrgrgr. A few guys from the air field told me
that our plane is making a bit more noise than normal. So I need to design an
muffler. I have surged on the internet but there is a lot information. I think
to make a turbo muffler (strange name) so I have to design something.

My easiest fix is to install my catilisator again. Before the first flight I
removed it to save some weight an this cat gives Also a lot backpressure. On
the end off the system I have the original BMW muffler (absorber). My idea is
to design a turbo muffler instead of the catalisator.

Is there someone in our KR family who can help me to design something?

The engine sound is 6500 rpm sound.

The lenght I can easily use is 12/ 13 inch. If I go longer I think I have to
install the Muffler outside the cowling. That is not what I want.

The link above you will see at 3/4 from the top my exhaust system ( at this
moment the cat is not there and it is only a tube). The last muffler is the
original BMW type.

Hope someone off you have some tips for me.
