Great idea to make it a donation, Pete. I’m prez of EAA Chapter 84 in
Snohomish, WA, about 20 miles northeast of Seattle. We are a 501 (c)(3)
organization and can give tax donation letters. Anything more than $5,000
requires an appraisal, but less than that I just write a letter. There’s
probably a EAA chapter nearby that can do the same. I’d be willing to drive
and pickup if we had a local buyer. Our chapter actually has more income from
donations than from dues. We take tools and most all aviation related. We can
take cars and boats, but just send that to auction. In a normal year our
chapter flies 300 to 500 Young Eagles a year, have our own hangar, and are
working on a teen build organization.

I had a KRSuper 2S project, but finished a Zenith 650 and am flying that; been
WA to OSH twice. Gave away the 2S project for non-flying demo as it sat out in
sun for months and I figured fiberglass probably lost some strength. I still
monitor this forum for all the great info.

I did attend a Gathering in Oregon in 2015 and shot the video of Mark’s
Fiberglass 101 class.

Many more flying and scuba videos on Youtube and some on Vimeo.

First choice for Lee would be to sell, but 2nd choice should be donation
instead of scrap.

See if the local EAA would take them for a tax write off. That’s how I got my
project.

It’s getting close to just trashing these projects. I’m at the time of my life
where I to clean up my projects. Make a reasonable offer.
