KR NetHeads,
Our email list provider is transitioning the KRnet email hosting to
Mailman 3, given that Mailman 2 (upon which KRnet has been based) is now
obsolete. This may happen first thing in the morning, or overnight
Friday night. Things will be a little weird, but remain calm and carry
on, and we'll fix whatever problems we see as they arise. I don't
expect any real issues (given recent CorvAircraft list transition), and
you may not even notice the difference, but stuff like footers and
headers may not work due to links changing due to the new hosting
location for things like the built-in archive.
Also, the link and user interface for the user control panel (where
subscribers change their delivery options such as "digest" rather than
real time email) will change somewhat, but it's a more graphical
interface, rather than text, and is a little easier to navigate. And
archived messages are arranged in threads and are easier to parse.
And as always, you can visit John Bouyea's searchable full archive at
https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ , which goes back
something like 25 years or more. And of course http://www.krnet.org/
will remain unchanged, as it is independent of the email system.
