I don't think I'd look too hard if you're getting it for $525. I paid
$495 this past year and that was cheapest quote from three different
companies. That was in spite of having 1700 hours TT, 750+ in type and
tailwheel, and a commercial license. I'm expecting it to hit $600 this
year. My age may be affecting my quotes. The fact you're flying a nose
dragger may help your premiums. I've never carried "motion hull" on the
KR as I figured if I break it I'll fix it. Not having a claim in 15
years I'm probably about to break even if I total it.
The insurance companies will always come out ahead or they'd all be out
of business.
