Yes, the KR is light on the controls but that also makes it a delight to
fly. I think you can trust the members on this list like Mark
Langford, Jeff Scott, Colin Hales, Tommy Waymack, Phil Matheson, Joe
Horton, and me with 500+ hours and some with 1000+ hours in the KR when
we say what a delight the KR is to fly. Others like Dan Diehl, Marty
Roberts, and Ken Rand himself flew these birds all over the country and
always landed with a smile. There is one KR that I'm aware of here in
the heart of the country that has been coast to coast at least twice on
a VW engine.
Accept the flight characteristics of the KR and keep building. Build out
the flaws, get the C.G. correct, learn to fly it, and reap the rewards
of your efforts.
How many days till Lees Summit? I don't see Joe Horton's name on the
list. Are you going to make it Joe?
