KR builders,
I’m installing stainless fuel tanks in wing stubs in order to have room

any argument to keep a header tank.
Other than less capacity, am I missing any other disadvantages?
Thanks,

When moving as much weight as fuel you need to keep in mind the W&B of the airplane.  The W&B will change from full to empty.  I eliminated my header tank and moved fuel to the outer wing panels only, keeping the tanks long and narrow, just 10 inches behind the main spar.  That keeps all fuel weight close to the desired CG location.  With tanks between the spars in the stub wings and no header tank you run the risk of an aft CG with fuel tanks and passenger.  This could be more critical if using a lighter weight VW engine.  I'm running a 230 pound 0-200.

These are my tanks built 26 years ago with Safe-T-poxy.
