Jeanette is the widow of the designer, Ken Rand, and ran the business
for many years after Ken's death.
I just got off the phone with Jeanette and her answer is " the KR plans
are officially off the market and are not authorizes to be sold, copied,
or distributed in any way by anyone without her permission which will
not be granted". She indicated she no longer holds a business license
or insurance and does not want to incur the possible liability. Steve
is still authorized to sell pre-molded parts, etc. if you are able to
contact him.
Whether or not we consider that a reasonable decision it is reality at
the moment and I see no possibility of it changing. There are other
options / opportunities available but would require consider time and
effort on someones part. I wish it were different but as the old saying
goes "wish in one hand and ........................"
