This morning I received an email that appeared to be from "i...@list.krnet.org" that said my mailbox is full, and to click on the link below to update my storage limits.

It's pretty easy to see this is malware, given that KRnet has no "mailboxes", it's just an email list! It's very easy to spoof who an email is from....your email client will probably let you do it also. Hovering the mouse over the links show the usual suspect, a link a mile long of alpha-numeric mismash soup that leads to likely doom.

I only throw this out to the list to remind folks to be diligent when checking email, and to look carefully before you click on anything. It's vital to hover over the "button" or link, and see where that link actually points to, and that it makes sense. Failure to pay attention to detail can result in anything between increasing your spam and malware, sucking up all your (and our) email addresses to some malware cloud in the sky, to encrypting your hard drive for ransom. Frequent backups and decent malware protection are essential.

Not trying to start a conversation on the subject, just stay diligent....
