N56ML had 1130 hours on it when the crankshaft broke on climbout from my father's grass strip, damaging it to the point that I haven't bothered to fix it yet. N891JF has somewhere around 1300 hours on it, with me doing about a thousand of them (I haven't totaled it up lately). N357CJ has about 1060 hours on it, with Joe logging 1050 of them, and me only ten so far. I'm busy working on it now.
So I have about 2240 hours of KR time, mostly in KR2 and KR2S taildraggers, and now a few hours in a tri-gear. I have to say that the worst thing about the nose-dragger is trying to push it back into the hangar. I have to hang on the vertical stab with almost all of my weight (all 135 pounds of it) to swivel it around, leaving almost no weight for traction. I've managed it so far, so eventually it'll be like everything else....easy once you figure out the best process! It's nice to fly behind a Corvair again though, that's for sure. Gobs of power, meager fuel burn, and two extra cylinders for "peace of mind"....
