For those somewhat technically inclined, you can go to the microsoft store and download an app called HEIC Viewer for free. Just drag and drop the files you want to look at into it when its open. Takes about 2 minutes and it is free. If you don't like that one, there are numerous apps that are also free.

Do you have the photos in any other format than HEIC ?  I'm guessing you sent them with a "smart phone" and us "less than smart" netters can't open them with our old Windows 7 software. 😭
