TruTrak was developing an autopilot using RC servos and trim tabs and I was
following it with interest.  What bogged them down (and they finally abandoned
the project) was the approach of developing a kit for each type of aircraft.
They started with the RV-4, "self-certifying" each model of aircraft as they
went along.  It became a long-winded and tenuous thing to wait for, both for
them and for customers.  So they gave it up and since the name "ECO" is
involved a good guess would be that this autopilot is the offspring of the
TruTrack project.  This current offering seems to be taking the common sense
approach of not tailoring the tabs to each model of aircraft.  I never saw the
sense of TruTrak's approach.  Adding things up, this unit would ship for just
under $4,000.  Of course one would want the waterproof servos.

Interesting.

Thoughts?  Others experience with this?
