That is what Carlos basically did with the Aircraft Automation effort. Has
some nice "recovery" features that are familiar with drones.... but coupled
with the 6 pack and the ability to integrate with moving maps for full route
(heading and altitude) is pretty cool.

Yes, would be nicer to be in the 500 dollar range... we will get there with
electronics... probably sooner than we think with technology advances as much
as it has!

I mean - 2,300 dollars for all the instruments needed to fly (minus radio and
transponder/ADSB ) and have autopilot and ability to program in attitude
restrictions, and unusual attitude recovery with a push of a button.... Heck,
if he had throttle control capability, he is one step away from "auto land".....

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I have no idea if what I'm about to suggest is possible or not but could
someone on the net that is an electronic wizard check out the
following? All the drones flying now days must have some type of
stabilizing unit. Could one of these units be used with $166 servo
units available from Aircraft Spruce as an autopilot?
