So two things I am doing that may change.  On TO I apply 50% throttle until the 
tail comes up then go full.  At some point I will start experimenting with 
slowly applying full throttle right away.  So far it seems to require little 
left rudder doing it this way. But I am using about 1800 ft to TO.

On landing I am keeping neutral stick until I have the direction under control 
and I am sure I am below flying speed before full aft stick.  It's probably 
because I am spoiled with a 6000 ft runway.  I also have been making some 
landings without the speed brake like the one in this video, so that delays 
applying full aft stick.
