My vague recollection is that Jeanette Rand was contemplating a copyright
infringement also and even before this accident. I don’t know if it went
anywhere. Very similar to the KR2 in design but all metal. There was a thread
about this at the time which is possibly now in the archives if I recollect.

There were two (maybe three) touch and go arounds, all high and fast with late
touchdowns and maybe with a tail wind component. Although the pilot may be
still feeling the effect psychologically, he should be reassured by the fact
that it could have been so much worse……and so, some 10 years later, it is still
before the courts.

The plane is a kr copy. The designer now back in NZ. We were told a class
action was being sought on his alleged poor quality aircraft ???

Morgan aeroworks was the designer. He had KR aircraft first, then made metal
aircraft Morgan aeroworks Cheetah plus others

No Larry. I googled it and discovered it's a metal-skinned plane that's local
to Australia. I thought the same thing as you when I saw it. It sure looked
like a KR, so that's what piqued my interest. He and passenger sure came to an
abrupt stop didn't he. Instead of now having nightmares and other fears (the
more to justify his suit against the local government for allowing a ferris
wheel to be so close to an airstrip), he really ought to be feeling grateful.
Their angels was with them on that go-around. It's amazing that they came out
of it without a scratch. Passenger had something minor but really . . . they
were both incredibly lucky. Instead of hitting the ferris wheel's structure
with the cockpit, they sailed between it, the wings breaking the plane's
momentum. Lucky, lucky, lucky.

Legal action launched after plane crashes into ferris wheel

A girl on a Ferris wheel repeatedly screamed "it's going to crash" as she
videoed a light plane which then ...

Was that by chance a KR derivative?

Pilot; " Hey, who put that Ferris wheel there? Nobody told me !!!!!!! I
wonder if the judge would buy that line. This guy should be frightened just
getting out of bed if he can't see a Ferris wheel.
