What is left here for us, is to improve the UI and the docs.
IMHO the UI should make it clear that this "picker/choser" is about the
default repository, and that it needs to be within the project. Also, if
the selection is so severely restricted, and possible options are well
known, there should be e.g. a drop down / select box, and not a free
form search.
