I also experience something like this in Vivid (with backports):
when ever I start Kompare from KRunner, KRunner freezes untill I close
Kompare. When Kompare is closed I get an error message: «KDEInit could not
execute "/usr/bin/kompare"»
This does not happen if I start kompare from the command line. It also happens
if I start it from Kickoff.
The questoin is: Is this an KDE issue, or an implementation issue?
