Hi Clay -- I agree that it isn't the same. In my opinion the best meetings are face to face, but those are rare and expensive unfortunately. Now that there is no more UDS, we try to do this annually at Akademy. Second best is being able to see and hear one another, for which BBB is really great, if it works. Lately for me, I can't hear the voices, because they are garbled beyond understanding. I blame flash, but what do I know. IMO third best is voice only, which we can record for posterity. Mumble is free software, and seems to work for most people. We do take notes, and everyone is welcome to add to those notes on Google Docs. Again, we chose Google Docs because they are open to anyone with the link, and Notes on KDE.org are not. Finally, short meetings on IRC are great, and I love them. But long meetings are rather agonizing, and more than two hours is really exhausting.
