Hi, I'm running kvpnc 0.8 (Ubuntu package) under KDE 3.4.3 on Kubuntu Breezy. All required packages are installed. I imported the Cisco PCF file used to connect to our company network using the CIsco VPN client on Windows and it was imported successfully. However, all connection attempts result in a timeout.
My Windows laptop from work connects without issue. I am behind a USR 8000 series router on a cable connection and experienced the exact same behavior with our previous PPTP VPN: connect without issue from any Windows box, but all connections from any Linux box timed out. That makes me strongly suspect the router rather than kvpnc, but I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has solved the same problem. It's possible that this is an MTU issue, but how can I tweak the MTU size in kvpnc, and what do you recommend? Is it possible that Linux boxes (behavior duplicated on two different hosts, both running Kubuntu) are setting the Do Not Fragment bit? If so, how do I check/disable it, and is that even an issue when UDP is being used? TIA for any pointers, Jonathan
