[Kvpnc-user] connection problem
conexant (JAN NOVAK)

Hi all,

I am using on my laptop windows XP Proffessional and to be able to connect from
home into company network Cisco VPN Client. On my home pc I run Knoppix 5.0.1
version - linux based on Debian (installed on hard disk).
I am trying to connect trough the last release of KVPNC using CISCO PCF Profile
imported from my laptop from WINDOWS XP.

I have changed here some parameters regards security reason it serves just for
the generall review of my problem:
This is how looks like my PCF file exported from the WINDOWS XP:
cVPNAccessManager.pcf:
[main]
Host=cvpn.hvb.com
AuthType=3
CertStore=2
CertName=Jan Novak (HVB CZ)

When I have created a new profile in KVPNC Application I filled up following
fields regards information from cVPNAccessManager.pcf:
Profile name: hvb
Description: connection
Connection type: Cisco (VPNC)
IPSec-Gateway: cvpn.hvb.com
Group password: --
IPSec-ID: --
Username: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Password: ****************

Cisco PCF Profile import: I have successfully imported my cVPNAccessManager.pcf
from WINDOWS XP.
P12 Certificate import: I was not able to import my certificate from WIN XP as
this is in format jannovak.pfx
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The question now is:
1) To be able to connect I need to change somehow the certificate jannovak.pxf
to different format .p12 but I did not find in google how?
2) Another issue could be that KVPNC software requieres
Group password: --
IPSec-ID: --
which are not present in my cVPNAccessManager.pcf as you can see.

I spent about 4 day installing and configuring my home pc and investigating
this issue on google.
I will keep investigatin further more but I would be very gratefull for any
help or comments regards my problem:).

Thank you all in advance and Best Rgds from Prague and the Czech Republic.

Jan Novak
