I am trying to get kvpnc working with vpnc on RHEL 5. I have tried both the CentOS 5 RPM from gna.org and the RPM from rpmforge. I have also tried both vpnc 0.3.3 and 0.4.0.
Regardless of the combination, I always get the "vpnc is too old. Minimum requirement is 0.3.x" message when I try to connect. By cranking up the log level, I can see that it is detecting the vpnc version as 0.0.0. How is this detected, and how can I make this work? I've poked around in the source code a little bit, but I'm not a C++ guy, so any pointers would be apprediated.
