Go into the mailbox and turn off the options for "return to top level auto
attendant" and "operator transfer"
4-4-5-1 and
4-4-6-1
I turn those off for EVERY mailbox on a system (wish it could be done system
wide).
Then just record the mailbox greeting normally.

There may be another setting to keep it from asking to press 1 to leave a
message, I can't remember right now.

If you have re-recorded the prompts but they do not change, then the system
is probably still set up to use "system prompts" and needs to be changed to
"user1" prompts.
