Actually there are two versions of the software sold by www.pbxsoftware.com
and for around $35 each, they are a good bargain. I just recently changed
out my KXT123210 for a KXTD1232 and the have used both versions. They are
very similar as to look and feel. You can indeed save and restore system
settings with the analog version, one of the biggest differences is the fact
that on the analog you have to flip the switch on the PBX to do the
programming where on the digital it stays running while you program. You may
need the Rev-3 ROMS for the analog PBX for the software to work (not really
sure, but I upgraded mine),the KXT123210 and KXT123211 both can be upgraded
with the same Rev-3 ROMS, look on ebay if need them. The digital version of
the software seems to support all ROM versions. I have nothing to do with
www.pbxsoftware.com, just a satisfied user, only real problem I have noticed
with the software are some strange Russian-English wierdness in some of the
labels and help-files, but easy to work around. Still need some feeling of
how the PBX works to really use it well, but this software will get you
started.

The only 3rd party program that I know of is at:
www.pbxsoftware.com

Windows based, programs and saves the KX-TD systems (Digital)
If you have the analog 1232, you can't *easily* program the system and I'm
pretty sure you can't save at all.
