I haven't tried to replicate what you're experiencing....

However, a thought occurs to me as a work-around.... assuming Panasonic
won't process calls in the -4 as you've described.

... try setting the DID destination to an XDP port.... then just put that
XDP port (use your butt-set) on All Call Forward to the Phantom Extension
number...

See if that works... and let me know.

Additionally, the latest -5 firmware release for the 1232 digital may have
'fixed' the bug you're describing...

Subject: KX-T: DID and Phantom Extensions

I am new to this discussion list, so please forgive me if I am not posting
this message in the correct manner.

We have a KX-TD1232 currently upgraded to a -4, and we recently added a
TX-TD185 and a pair of DID trunks. I have gone thru all the ridiculous steps
with Verizon to get the DID trunks installed and running. I have verified
that the digits are coming in properly. Everything seems to work correctly
except...no matter what I do I cannot get the DID calls to be routed to a
Phantom Extension.

If a DID number is routed (program 136) to an extension (program 137), it
works perfectly. I setup the fax number 2605 to route to ext 106 and it
works.

However, when I routed our main number 2600 to phantom extension 270 while
it behaves like all is well, it doesn't work. Programming is accepted fine,
but when you dial the number (i.e. calling in from the outside) you always
get a busy signal. On the other hand, if you dial the Phantom Extension
directly, it rings properly.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ian Goldstein
