We have many 2/3/486 boxes (FREE - whats this $75
thing) running mirror II under DOS 6.2

They are not running WENDERS, so they just don't
crash.

Mirror II will run in "background" so you can copy the
collected smdr to a floppy when needed.

We update the Bios to one that supports IDE hd
autodetect and put the hd in a removeable cart, and
keep a fresh formatted ready-to-run hd next to it.
Once a year we swap the hd so we can CD the smdr and
test the hd for reuse. We replace the 818 cmos chip
with a Dallas Semi replacement, eliminating the cmos
battery and rtc problems. (10 yr batt)

Need failproof capture - easy, use a second machine
next to the first running same thing with a split rs
232 cable. HD and PS are failure modes, not likely on
both machines at the same time.
