I also had a problem with a alarm system a couple of weeks ago. My customer
complained to me that the KXTD system was dialing a little old lady in the
middle of the night the same time every night this went on for two weeks
before they told me. The lady had caller id so they knew where the call was
coming from...... our PTT supplier got evolved they also blamed the system
it did get very serious in the end.
When company did get me out I found after about 20 minutes that the alarm
company connected their modem across the telco line and would you believe it
they enter the wrong number on the modem to dialed out....problem solved
little old lady was happy
