I'll admit to not knowing which 3M is which. But then, I've always
made do with those I've found on the surplus market. There was
a See&Pee surplus place N. of Richmond where I bought a bunch
[1] along with a 24' fiberglas ladder for $40 and an X-term;
I passed on the complete VAX 780 that was also there.

Alas, the place is now closed.

1]
Me:  "How much are these?"
Her: "$1 per box"
Me: "But this box has 100, that one 500.."
Her: "You don't like it; don't buy any.."
....
Go find several even larger {~1000 per} boxes.
Me:  "3 boxes, $3, right?"
Her: "Like I said..."
