Larry,

It would only act as an analog phone.  Or rather, it could act as 3 analog
phones, since each "line" can represent a different extension on the 1232.

Sometimes that's difficult to explain to people when they have been using a
standard 2-line phone, then want to plug it into a KXT and think they should
be able to press line 1 for co1 and line 2 co2... or they press the hold
button but can't pick up the call on a system phone...

Any standard analog phone can "integrate" with the d1232, just plug it in.
But you have to know the feature codes to do anything clever (9 for an
outside line is the basic knowledge needed, and hookflash for hold or
transfer).
