When you say "behind", does it integrate digitally with a D1232,
or does it just appear as another analog phone on an XDP port?

This CAN be done, although, as you said,the hold button won't work,
Make line one on the 2 line sta. 205 and line two sta 206.
program 205 to pick up trunk 5 and 206 to pick up trunk 6,
and co 5 rings 205 and co 6 rings 206.
I KNOW this works, I have one set-up like this at a customer
as the BOSS's "private" lines ( they don't ring at 100 until the forth ring )
