Thanks for the replies guys.
Spoiled by the digitals I guess.

The customer had told me that the phone no longer called the other
extensions when they pressed the dss buttons, and "that's how it used to
work before the power trouble".

When I tested it, I found that I had to press Intercom first... and nothing
I tried would change that!
