It's not clear if the A46 is the DC cable or the cable+charger.

If the mating connector for the KXTD can be found [someone
said it was a Molex...] then all you need is:
        
        two 12 gelcells
        fuses
        a way to charge same.

The alarm industry peddles a variety of ""power supplies"" which
means a PCB with a bridge rectifier & a voltage regulator,
strappable for 6-12-24vdc. You power it with an AC-out
wallwart. You don't need many milliamps to float a gelcell.

The only hard part is making it look spiffy.
